Adding Images or Pictures to Your Site via the Image Manager

Adding Images/Pictures to Your Site via the Image Manager

1. Locate the picture or Image on your computer. Resize if necessary, (see instructions on how to crop images below.)

Tip: Please ensure that the size of the image that you are uploading is not too large for your page to load quicker.
 
2. Log in and navigate to your page.

3. Click on Advanced -> Switch to Design Mode. Click Edit (on the top, right side of the web content portlet, see example) 


            


4. The WYSIWYG Editor (RadEditor or RadEditorAjax) will appear. Place the cursor where you want the image to be placed. Click on the Image Manager icon    . 

5. Kindly follow instructions on how to upload image depending on the editor used on your site. To change editors, click here


RADeditorAjax: (new editor)

Click Upload -> Select (Tip: you can upload multiple images and insert them later on, click on Add if you want more fields). Locate and select the image you wish to upload and click Open then click Upload.

Once uploaded, you have the option of editing the Image using the Image Editor (see below), click Properties, input Alt Text (inputted text will appear when you hover over the image), click Insert.

Click Publish to finalize and show image.

If you want to change or edit the image, simply highlight image and click Delete. You can now go back to the Image Manager since the image is already uploaded.



RADeditor: (older editor)

Click on Upload-> Browse. Locate and select the image you wish to upload and click Open then click Upload.

Once uploaded, input Image Alt Text (inputted text will appear when you hover over the image), click Insert.

Click Publish to finalize and show image.

If you want to change or edit the image, simply highlight image and click Delete. You can now go back to the Image Manager since the image is already uploaded




Note: Once your image is uploaded, only Administrators can delete it. However, you can revise the same image and upload over it by clicking on the Overwrite if file exists box to replace the original file.
